Can you walk me through the Production Calendar view in Publish?

Some exciting dashboard changes and new features are coming to PRX Publish on Monday, April 22nd! We will give you a preview here so you know what to expect.

We are streamlining the way your series and episodes are displayed on the homepage:

For starters, each episode will be displayed in a vertical list ordered by drop date. You can choose to filter the episode list by publish state, showing all published episodes at the top.

We are also introducing color-coded tabs to help producers understand where each episode is in the production process: blue=published, green=scheduled, or orange=draft.

In line with each episode title you will see an option to edit that episode: Screen_Shot_2019-04-12_at_12.41.07_PM.png or view the metrics for that episode (if it's been published): Screen_Shot_2019-04-12_at_12.45.42_PM.png.

There are two different views on the dashboard: Episode List view and Calendar view. You series will default to the Episode List view, but you can change over to Calendar view to see your upcoming episodes and their drop dates. This is an easy place to access drafts and scheduled episodes.

We are creating a production calendar to streamline creation of future episodes:

You'll notice a blue button in the above screenshot that says "Plan Episodes." We've created the Plan Episodes tab to help our sales team better predict the ad inventory for your podcast.

Clicking on the blue Plan Episodes button will bring you into your Edit Series function to a new tab. Here you can answer a few questions and have designated future episode drafts automatically generated for you.

We recommend creating a year's worth of episode drafts for accurate sales inventory forecasting.

Choose the audio template you use most frequently. As you approach a drop date and you know you'd like to use an alternate template, change the template within the episode and let the Ad Operations team know at

You can double-check your work on the calendars at the bottom. If all looks good, go ahead and create those drafts! They will appear in your calendar view.

If you need to make changes to your drop-dates, unselect the highlighted date and select the correct date. You will only be able to do this before you create your drafts.
