Creating A New Campaign

Before you can set-up a flight to target specific advertisements to your podcast - you'll need to create a campaign for those flights to live in.

Step 1 - Log into Dovetail Inventory

Step 2 - From the Inventory homepage select the Screenshot 2025-01-22 at 3.02.52 PM.png button toward the upper right of the screen.

Step 3 - Complete each field with the appropriate information.

    • Name: name for the overall campaign (required)- this should be something that easily identifies who the campaign is for, and can include dates.
    • Advertiser: advertiser for the campaign (required)- if you don't see the advertiser, contact PRX AdOps to have them added, or reach out to podcast-support@prx.org
    • Type: select the option that best describes the campaign’s type
      • Paid Direct
      • Paid Programmatic
      • House
      • System  (Remember to check out our glossary if you don't understand these types.) 
    • Campaign Rep: name of the person managing the campaign
    • Sales Org Name: name of the person or organization who sold the campaign
    • Owner: group account that owns the campaign (NOTE: only users with access to this group account will be able to view this campaign.)
    • Notes: descriptive text about the campaign (optional)

Step 4 - Click Create Campaign in the upper right corner of the screen

If you want to ensure only a certain number of impressions in a campaign get served per day, you can cap their frequency this way:
Go to this box

And insert the maximum number of impressions, and the period you'd like that amount spread over:

Click "Add and you'll see the rule applied:

Congratulations - you've got a working campaign! Next, you can move on to setting up a flight so that specific ads can run on your show.
