Below is a quick guide to help you troubleshoot and get you back on track to enjoying an ad-free experience. 🎧🍎
1. Check your Apple ID and subscription status
Make sure you’re signed into the Apple Podcasts app using the same Apple ID you used to buy the subscription.
- Open the Apple Podcasts app
- Tap your profile icon (top right)
- Click Manage Subscriptions
- Confirm your subscription is active and not expired.
2. Make sure you’re listening to the correct feed
After subscribing:
- Look for the version of the podcast labeled "Subscriber Edition" or "Ad-Free" in Apple Podcasts.
3. Try refreshing the app
- Quit and relaunch the Apple Podcasts app.
- Check for a pending iOS update (Settings > General > Software Update).
- Sometimes an iOS update can fix playback issues
- Restart your device.
4. Sync issues across devices
Sometimes subscriptions will work on one device and not the other
- Make sure you’re signed to the same Apple ID across devices
5. Confirm you’re listening on Apple Podcasts
If you purchased your subscription through Apple Podcasts, the ad-free experience is available only in the Apple Podcasts app. If you listen on a different app, you’ll still hear ads even with a paid subscription.
