Adding a private podcast to an app

Imagine, you as a friendly local public media supporter are given a link to an ad-free private RSS Feed as a thank you for your support. Huzzah!

This link might look something like this, but will likely include an additional authorization token.

In most cases, you’ll need to add this link directly to your podcast app of choice to access the content within.

Here are some of the instructions on how to do that for a few of the popular podcast apps:

Apple Podcasts Desktop

  1. Select File
  2. Select Follow a Show by URL
  3. Paste or enter your URL
  4. Select Follow
