How does PRX choose featured stories?

All newly posted pieces end up automatically on the home page in the list of New Pieces. This list changes all day every day as new pieces are added to the PRX Exchange.

The "featured" pieces are selected by a PRX Editor and may remain on the homepage for a week or more. The editorial team find pieces to feature through two ways:

  1. Searching the site for timely and relevant pieces that demonstrate superior craft or novelty
  2. Reviewing pitches from producers

If your piece is timely and relevant, send a hook to editors@prx.org. For example, "It is National Aardvark Month and I have a story on the three-toed sloth."
