PRX is a proud member and certified by the Podcast Standards Project.
Dovetail supports a number of podcasting 2.0 tags, with additional support planned for additional tags.
Currently supported tags:
- podcast:guid - provides a unique identifier for your podcast
- podcast:funding - share a link to donate to your podcast
- podcast:locked - Dovetail will not import a locked feed, can lock and unlock feeds on Dovetail
- podcast:podping - Dovetail announces feed changes to PodPing (e.g. podping.cloud)
- podcast:transcript - Supported both in RSS publishing, and in captions/transcript display in the open source play.prx.org embed player and landing page by clicking the "cc" button.
- podcast:value and valueRecipient to support web monetization for podcasts
- podcast:follow - although currently a proposal, we support in RSS to provide this tag to drive follow links on the play.prx.org embed player and landing pages.
- podcast:person - specify people related to the podcast or episodes, with their role (e.g. guests).
Next planned tags:
- podcast:alternateEnclosure - for including HLS video enclosures along side the current enclosure
- podcast:podroll - allow picking other shows to promote, also show on embed and landing pages
- podcast:location - set the locations for a show, by subject or creator
