How can I exclude or include episodes from a particular feed?

With Dovetail, you can create multiple feeds for your podcast, and choose which RSS feed to include each episode in.

This can be a useful feature if you’re looking to publish ad-free episodes to a feed for subscribers-only and ad-supported public feed that is available for everyone - while only uploading content once. If this sounds like something you'd like to set-up for your podcast, follow along with the instructions below!

Prerequisites

Step One - Create or open an episode draft, and add your episode metadata and media.

Step Two -  Once you’re ready to schedule or publish your episode, go to the draft window on the right side of the screen.

Step Three - Under Include in Feeds, select the option(s) that best suit your needs.

Deselect any RSS feeds you’d like to exclude the episode from at this time.

All available RSS Feed options that are selected upon saving your episode as scheduled or published will include the episode upon release.

Step Four - Set your episode status to Scheduled or Published, and save!

Upon release, you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the magic of multiple feeds happening before your very eyes!

Pro Tip: Your multiple RSS Feeds can (and probably should) have unique settings. Learn more about how to customize and maintain multiple RSS feeds for your podcast here!
