Welcome! We are so glad you are interested in joining us.
First thing to cover: PRX station accounts are designed for US-based, non-commercial, terrestrial radio stations only. Which means if you are an internet station, international station, or podcast, you will need to consider our Outside Purchaser membership instead.
If you are an FCC-licensed public radio station then you are welcome to create an account with us. You'll need to start by creating an individual account at id.prx.org/users/sign_up
Once you're logged in, choose Exchange, and head to My PRX in the upper right corner and scroll down to Account > Request New Station:
You'll be asked to fill in some contact information about your station, as well as your FTP information (if you have one). You can edit this at any time.
Once you click Save, the account request will be sent to our team to review. We will approve your account and connect you with your Station Services representative.
We try to respond to requests within 24 hours, but if you need to get in touch with us sooner, please send an email to help@prx.org.
Station Membership and Next Steps
Once your station account has been approved, you’ll be connected with the PRX Station Services team to review available membership options and determine what best fits your needs. If you have questions in the meantime, you can reach the team directly at membership@prx.org.
Membership Notes
- CSG and NFCB-eligible stations can join PRX Exchange with a License-Free Pieces Only membership at no cost. This option allows you to license 0-point content without a paid subscription.
- Point packages (used to license certain programs) require a paid membership.
- PRX-represented subscription content also requires a paid membership.
If you're unsure which membership type is right for your station, the Station Services team can help guide you through your options.
