Understanding Different Types of Allocation Errors

When setting up or managing ad flights in Dovetail Inventory, occasionally something may not go as intended. Inventory flags these flights with an allocation error.

This is a list of errors that may be assigned and what they mean:

Extended The scheduled end of your flight goes past the one-year forecast limit.
Internal Allocation Error There is an issue with our system. Please contact support with any questions you may have.
Missing Zone The zone(s) targeted for the flight does not exist. You should remove that zone for your flight or check to make sure the intended zone exists in your structure setup.
No Inventory Your intended target does not exist. This could be a country/region that doesn’t get downloads, an episode that does not exist, etc.
Short It does not appear there will be enough downloads or inventory to fulfill this flight’s parameters.

Inventory allows you to search for flights that may be flagged with a specific allocation error.
